Dear applicants from Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee, once again payment of the subsidies is delayed due to us waiting for information from other departments, without which we can’t proceed. Once we have received all the data we need, we will send out the notifications and start the payment process asap, but this might still take a few weeks. We’re very sorry and appreciate your patience!

Dear applicants, we increasingly receive applications after the application period and grace period are over. Please note:

The regular application period runs until 31.7. for the following winter semester, 28./29.2. for the following summer semester. This is the period within which you should generally submit your applications.

There is a 14-day grace period, i.e. until 14.8. for WiSe and 14.3. for SoSe you may still submit your applications without giving a reason for being late. This should be an exception for times when you can’t submit the application within the normal period.

Applications that we receive from 15.8./15.3. can only be accepted if you give a reason for why it wasn’t possible to submit them on time (this does not include simply forgetting about the dates!)

Late applications make it harder for us to plan, cause extra work, and therefore delay processing all applications. So please make sure to submit your applications in time and if you’re late, include a reason with your application.

Dear Co-Students,

The Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection is currently in
exchange with the HU Student Services, the Semesterticket Büro and the
Department of Finance to work out a solution that is as unbureaucratic
as possible, internal to the HU and compliant with data protection laws.
The reimbursement (per month of EUR23.30, i.e. a total of up to EUR69.90
for three months) by the VBB is planned for October 2022. The sum cannot
be paid out by Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin before then.
More detailed information on how to apply for a refund via AGNES will be
sent to you during the semester break in a joint newsletter from the
Student Council and the Department of Student Service, which organizes
the processing of the refunds. In addition, we will publish updates
regularly on this website.
We would like to ask for your patience. You do *not* need to apply for a
partial refund of your s emester ticket in advance by sending an email
to the Student Service Department and/or the Semester Ticket Office. We
thank you for not sending us individual requests, but for informing
yourself via the homepage.
Should you leave the HU (prematurely) within the summer semester 2022
(exmatriculation, etc.), your application for exmatriculation will also
be considered as an application for a refund in connection with the 9EUR
ticket. You will also receive a refund of
up to EUR69.90 in October 2022 at the earliest to the account from which
you paid the fees for the summer semester 2022.

Dear applicants, due to technical issues the payment of the SoSe 22 subsidies for HU will be delayed. We were expecting them to be paid out this week, now it will likely be another 1-2 weeks. We apologise, and appreciate your patience!

This Wednesday, the 13th of July, we won’t be able to offer phone counselling, because we’ll be busy with the notifications for your summer semester applications.

(This also means that you’ll soon have those notifications in your mailbox.
In case your bank account has changed since your application, please tell us the new details so any granted subsidies may find their way to your account. :))

Dear applicants,

we expect to send the notifications about your summer semester 2022 applications around mid July, and the corresponding payouts probably around end of July.
In case your bank account has changed since your applications, please tell us the new information soon, so the granted subsidies will be transferred to your new account.
We estimate that the granted subsidies will be transferred around end of July until mid August.

But those are preliminary estimations!
As soon as we send out the notifications and payouts, we’ll let you now in an update here.

In case you can’t pay the next re-enrollment fee without the subsidy, you can contact the enrollment office and ask for an extension the the deadline.

Dear applicants, the application forms for winter semester 2022/23 are finally online – you can find them here. Please make sure to send them in by 31. July (plus 14 days grace period).

We finally finished processing the applications for WiSe 21/22 from KHB students and will send out the notifications early next week. The payments still need to go through several departments, but we expect them to be in your accounts by the end of the month at the latest.

Subsidies for summer semester might still be a little behind our usual schedule, but we should have caught up after that.

Dear applicants, here are a few infos regarding the current state of your applications:

Payments WiSe 21/22

We sent the subsidies for WiSe 21/22 to the Kasse this week, so if nothing goes wrong you should receive the money around next week. If you applied after the regular application period (e.g. due to being newly matriculated), your application will be processed and the subsidy paid out in the coming weeks.

Delayed responses to e-mails

Due to receiving a lot of e-mails and post at the end of the application period, combined with a staff shortage, we are currently very behind on answering e-mails and hard to reach via phone. Please refrain from any non-essential questions (e.g. whether we received your application) for the next 1-2 weeks, in order to give us a chance to check all the mails that are already there and enter all applications into our database. Thank you!

State of WiSe 21/22 applications for KHB

The subsidies for SoSe 21 should have been paid by now. Since that took so much longer than it should have, and we are currently short on staff, the payments for WiSe 21/22 will also be delayed a little, but we’re working on it and hope to send out the notifications by the end of April. Hopefully from next semester on we’ll then be able to get back to our usual rhythm. Thank you for your patience!
